Who Made My Activewear? The YogaClicks Breakdown

To promote Fashion Revolution Week the YogaClicks team headed to Shoreditch to support the Who Made My Activewear event. Treat your FOMO by reading the YogaClicks breakdown – from the yoga classes, to the clothes and the people!

by SOPHIE CHITTOCK

On Saturday 28th April YogaClicks hit the road to Shoreditch for the Who Made My Activewear? Event! We joined forces with a dozen likeminded brands – like our very own Starseeds – all of us aiming to operate ethically and sustainably. The event was to raise money for Fash Rev and to create awareness of the ethical issues that impact the Activewear supply chain, and brands doing their bit for a better future.  Ultimately we all need to demand more from our activewear brands, by asking the simple question… “Who made my clothes?”

We started the day setting up the YogaClicks pop up.

We were proud of our stand, which featured a number of different brands, from new arrival Soulshine Jewellery, to old favourites Rebecca Joseph yoga bunnies, Positivitea, and handmade bracelets and malas from Malatopia.

We took some time out from our pop up shop to catch up with the organiser

Zara Williams, who invited us to this amazing event. We got the chance to meet some of our yogi customers, who tested out some of our malas and bought a book or two! Lucy caught up with one of our favourite yogi makers, Natalia, founder of Starseeds and took a sneak peak at some of the new collection coming soon to yogaclicks.store! (keep an eye out).

Want to know who we were wearing? Lucy is rocking the Powered By Yoga Sweater partnered with the pebble leggings from our yogi seller PawPaw. Sophie is head to toe Kismet with the pink bra top and loose navy tie top, with navy cropped leggings to finish the look. Laura chose the Powered By Yoga sweater in grey also & tested out a new brand that might just be our next yogi maker. What do you think? Stock or not?!

The day consisted of yoga classes (naturally)

Our founder Lucy enjoyed a Vinyasa Flow class by Phoebe Greenacre and we were able to snap a few pictures from a very intense BarreBody class run by Zara which left everyone feeling a little sorry for their bodies! The other classes spanned from meditation, to morning yoga and pilates which definitely gave us motivation to get into more classes back in Norwich!

We loved raising awareness about a topic so close to our hearts.
